Personal consultation – 40 minutes online
Before I accept any work on your manuscript – write a critique or do structural editing – or start a long-term mentoring with you, I would like to meet you and talk.
I will review your needs and let you know what you can expect from me. I will learn about your project and your problems, and I will be able to personalise my help.
If you decide to work with me, I will deduct the consultation fee from the following payment for my work.
In 5 working days after your payment, I will contact you and set up an online meeting on any platform (Messenger, Zoom, Skype, etc.) that will suit both of us.

Manuscript Assessment
If you need a critique of your writing that will help you improve, please feel free to get in touch about manuscript assessment. With each assessment, you will get a couple of pages long review of your work, where I point out your strengths and weaknesses. I will give you advice and show you a way forward.
Genres I work with: fiction with a particular focus on women’s writing, crime fiction and historical fiction.
All forms of non-fiction.
I don’t accept poetry, playwright, fantasy and science fiction.

Up to 5.000 words + 500 words synopsis
Up to 50.000 words + 1.000 words synopsis

£100 / delivery in 2-3 weeks – 2 pages long critique

Structural and developmental editing
I absolutely love structural and developmental editing! I love immersing myself in a new text, following the logic of the writing, and listening to the writer’s voice. I enjoy discovering what makes a text tick and what is missing to make it really great.
Several books I have been working on as a structural and developmental editor have been published with great success.
I will look at
the plot: the beginning, the middle, the end; timeline; setting, tension; cliffhangers
the voice and the style
the different points of view (first person, third person limited, third person omniscient)
the dialogue (punctuation, layout, realism and rhythm)
the characters: consistency, inner voice, language
one word is £0,02 – 1.000 words are £20

One-to-One mentoring
If you feel stuck, don’t know how to start your writing project, or need some support to sort out writer’s block, I am happy to work with you on a one-to-one basis.
60 minutes personalised workshop – £40 + £0,015 / word I need to read from you for the workshop.
For example, if you send me a 1000-word long short story, that would add £15 to the workshop price.
